• Heat that never gets warm

  Low coolant, a stuck thermostat or a plugged heater core.

• Air conditioning blows warm

  Usually a refrigerant leak, not a refill problem.

• Temperature gauge climbing

  Stop driving. Overheating warps heads and that bill is a different order of magnitude.

• Sweet smell inside the car

  That is coolant. You have a leak somewhere warm.

• Windows fog and will not clear

  Blower, cabin filter or a heater core seeping.

What we do

• Pressure test of the cooling system
• Thermostat and radiator cap checked
• Coolant strength and condition tested
• Air conditioning pressures and output measured
• Cabin air filter inspected

Questions we get

Should I just get the A/C recharged?

No. Refrigerant does not get used up. If it is low, it leaked, and a recharge without a leak test is money out the window.

When should I test the heat?

October. Finding a bad heater core in January means driving a cold car until parts arrive.

Is a coolant flush worth it?

If the coolant tests weak or dirty, yes. If it tests fine, we will tell you to save your money.
